About Egidio Pastry Shop
Located at 622 E 187th St, Bronx, NY 10458, Egidio Pastry Shop operates as a pastry shop serving Bronx in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 7 am–7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Egidio Pastry Shop at (718) 295-6077; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 344 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bronx follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Came back after many years during my recent Fordham reunion weekend. Still outstanding! Cannoli, cookies, cake, coffee, all wonderful. My favorite. So glad that I was able to come back for a visit, and a box of pastries to go for my family back in Colorado.

I recently left another review but after having taste another cassata cake I now know what they’re supposed to taste like. I asked if they knew how to make a cake in a certain style I wanted & I received something completely different also the sponge cake was really dryer. If you knew you weren’t able to have done it I feel like that should’ve been communicated to me & I would’ve went elsewhere. The cannoli cream is 10/10 though will recommend that. Here is the pics of what I asked for & what I got.

#throwback2019 Right along East 187th Street, in the heart of Arthur Avenue Little Italy, sits Egidio Pastry Shop, quietly continuing a century long mission of destroying self control. Established in 1912, this place has been outlasting trends, diets, and probably a few family arguments. Walking in feels like stepping into a time capsule, except everything smells like butter, sugar, and zero self restraint. Came in for “just one pastry.” That was the first lie. Cannoli was the gateway, crisp shell, rich filling, dangerously good. Then your eyes wander. Suddenly you’re emotionally invested in éclairs, cream puffs, and at least three items you can’t pronounce but fully trust. No flashy decor, no gimmicks. Just generations of people perfecting the art of ruining your discipline in the most delicious way possible. Bronx Little Italy delivers, and this place makes sure you don’t leave empty handed, or with any remaining willpower.

Ive been going to this bakery since I was a kid & i have never in all of my years had a St Joseph's pastry so horrible in my life.. the custard was thicker than the norm and sounded in the pastry that you couldn't even taste the shell..I called and spoke to Carmella and she felt she can talk to me any way she wanted and even cursed saying this is BS.. No no BS your customer service was disgusting and your pastries are even worse I will never buy from you again and to think I drove 40 min to buy them ..Horrible ...

Oldest bakery shop in Bronx's Little Italy (since 1912), this place was quaint, traditional and cozy with very friendly people behind the counter who make you want to stay. It's amazing what kindness can do. My Sicilian wife ordered a cappuccino and sfogliatella.
